Even when language separates us we can communicate through music. Here in the East Midlands we can share our love of music, and through it our understanding of human experience & emotion, with complete strangers in Africa.On Saturday 30 July we invited listeners to be a part of 103's DEC East Africa Appeal by phoning in or emailing the stories that accompany their favourite music, in a musical life story we called LIFE TRACKS. The music tracks likely to be listener favourites were chosen by 103 presenters.
There was no cost and no catch. We hoped simply that through LIFE TRACKS our listeners would become our link with people in the Horn of Africa at their time of greatest need.
